Volunteer With LULA Women's Helpline

Your time can make a difference.

At LULA Women’s Helpline, we believe in the power of connection, compassion, and community. As a volunteer, you become a lifeline for women seeking emotional support, a listening ear, and a safe space to be heard. LULA Women’s Helpline offers a unique opportunity for you to contribute to a vital cause while gaining real-world experience in emotional support, communication, and the mental health non profit sector. If you’re looking for meaningful volunteer work that also helps you gain transferrable skills, this is the place to start.

Make a Real Difference in Women's Lives

Volunteering with LULA Women's Helpline as a volunteer means being there when someone needs to be heard. Our helpline supports women experiencing emotional challenges such as anxiety, loneliness, postpartum changes, and social isolation. As a volunteer, your role is to provide non-judgmental emotional support and help callers feel seen, valued, and safe. Your presence can bring comfort, clarity, and calm during difficult moments. This is meaningful work that truly matters—and your voice can be a source of strength

Gain Marketable Skills in Mental Health and Communication

Through our comprehensive 20-hour training program, you’ll develop highly transferable skills that employers value across industries. Our volunteer training includes topics such as active listening, empathetic communication, confidentiality, and women’s mental health issues. You’ll also learn how to recognize when to refer callers to appropriate services, such as 911 or 988, without stepping into the role of a crisis counselor.

Whether you're pursuing a career in social work, healthcare, community support, counseling, education, or any people-focused profession, your volunteer experience with Lula will demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and strong interpersonal communication.

Flexible, Inclusive, and Community-Driven

We understand that everyone’s time is valuable. LULA Women's Helpline offers flexible volunteer schedules so you can contribute in a way that fits your lifestyle. Whether you’re a student, a working professional, or someone looking to give back to your community, your involvement is welcomed and appreciated. Our team is diverse, inclusive, and united by a shared commitment to women’s wellness.

Who Can Volunteer?

We welcome volunteers from all walks of life who are passionate about supporting women’s emotional wellness. LULA Women's Helpline is a safe and inclusive space; we value diversity in background, experience, and perspective. Whether you're starting your career or simply want to make a meaningful contribution, we would love to have you on our team.
